As 18k contains more pure gold (750/1000) it has a more vivid Yellow color compared to 9k and although the difference is slight to be recognized from a display, it exists. In the other gold colors ( white-rose) we can have the same result with 9k or 14k due to special alloys for jewelry (always nickel-free).
